4K Fuser Setup
Setup guide for the DICHEN 4K Fuser (D60). Using the HDMI fuser instead? See Fuser Setup. The manufacturer's manual with connection diagrams is on dichen.store.
What it supports
No injection needed: the fuser adapts to high refresh rates on its own.
- 4K 3840×2160: up to 120 Hz
- Ultrawide 3440×1440: 144 to 180 Hz
- Super ultrawide 3840×1080: up to 120 Hz
- 1440p 2560×1440: up to 240 Hz
- 1080p 1920×1080: up to 360 Hz
Lower refresh rates work too. For example the 1080p 360 Hz mode also runs at 240, 165, 144 or 120 Hz, as long as your monitor supports it.
Monitors tested by the manufacturer: AOC CU34G3X (3440×1440, 165 Hz), Skyworth 44C1G (3840×1080, 120 Hz), ASUS ROG PG27AQDM (2560×1440, 240 Hz).
Connect the cables
Plug everything in before you switch the fuser on.
-
Main PC
DisplayPort cable from your main PC's graphics card to the DP input of the fuser. -
Second PC
HDMI cable from your second PC to the HDMI input of the fuser. You can also plug this one in a bit later. -
Monitor
DisplayPort cable from the fuser's DP output to your monitor. -
Power
Plug the power cable into the fuser.
Turn it on and set it up
-
Power on
Press the power button. The light turns from red to steady blue when everything is fine. After a few seconds your monitor shows a picture, and the small screen on the fuser shows your monitor's info and both inputs. -
Pick the refresh rate
On both PCs, open the Windows display settings and choose the refresh rate. Usually the highest one in the list is the right choice. -
Fuser settings
Turn the knob to move to the next setting and press it to select. When the cursor is white you can change the value; press the knob again to confirm and the cursor turns red. There are four settings you can change.
Second PC shows a different resolution?
That's normal. Windows on the second PC can show a different resolution or refresh rate than your monitor really runs. It doesn't affect anything, because the second PC only sends its picture into the fuser.
- Monitor at 1440p 240 Hz: the second PC shows "D60 HDMI 2K mode" at 1920×1080, 240 or 120 Hz.
- Monitor at 4K 120 Hz: the second PC shows "D60 HDMI 4K mode" at 2560×1440, 120 or 60 Hz.
What the lights mean
- No light at all after pressing power: problem with the board or the power adapter.
- Red light goes out: hardware problem.
- Blue light blinking: hardware problem.
- Green light blinking: the fuser is not activated, or it's a one-off glitch. Restart it first.
Light problem that doesn't go away, or no picture? Open a ticket in our Discord with a photo of the fuser and how everything is connected.
